FI-WARE - Building a core platform of FI-PPP

The FI-WARE project will build the core platform for usage areas of FI-PPP like FINESCE, FI-Star, FITMAN, FI-CONTENT and FIspace. FI-WARE as a project is charged with the development of a software architecture and its real-life implementation, with real data and real users. Its main goal is to enable an open community of developers including entrepreneurs, application sponsors and platform providers. The FI-WARE project will advance the global competitiveness of the EU economy by introducing an innovative infrastructure for cost-effective creation and delivery of services, providing high quality of service and security guarantees.

The FI-WARE core platform is based on Generic Enablers which offer reusable and commonly shared functions serving a multiplicity of Usage Areas across various sections. The FI-WARE Generic Enablers are linked to the following main FI-WARE technical chapters:
  • Cloud Hosting
  • Data/ Context Management
  • Architecture of Applications / Services Ecosystem and Delivery Framework
  • Internet of Things (IoT) Services Enablement
  • Security
  • Interface to Network and Devices (I2ND)

For further information on Generic Enablers visit the Catalogue of FI-WARE

The FI-WARE project hosts the FI-WIKI, in which takes place technical collaboration of FI-PPP programme carried out in the FI-PPP Architecture Board (members of all FI-PPP projects). Furthermore, the FI-WARE-blog informs you about current developments.

FI-WARE comprises the FI-LAB as a live instance open to developers for free experimentation with the technology. Create a FI-LAB account by connecting to the FI-LAB site.
